General-
On U.S. 377 at junction of Texas 171, southwest of Fort Worth, the
village was founded around 1887, and was named for an official of the Fort Worth & Rio
Grande Railway Company.
Pate Museum of Transportation-
Antique luxury railroad car, elegant vintage and classic
automobiles, military aircraft, navy minesweeper, as well as other exhibits and displays.
The museum also includes a 1,500 volume transportation library. Open Tues. -
Sun. 9 a.m. - 5 .m. On U.S. 377 northeast. The annual Pate swap meet brings
200, 000 enthusiastic viewers and collectors each spring.
